The manager of Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao, Summer Lin, recently described their relationship to be "more than just colleagues".


According to Taiwan reports, love sparks started to fly between Lin and Hsiao after working together for over a year, and the manager has even broke up with a triad leader whom she had dated for 10 years and moved out of their shared apartment. However, it was reported that Lin had already started dating Hsiao and staying over at his place even before officially breaking up with her ex-boyfriend.

Lin, who is currently working in China with Hsiao, said, "My ex-boyfriend is very clear about my schedule. Do you think he can accept it (staying over at Hsiao's)?"

"Being a non-celebrity", Lin declined to talk to media about her breakup but emphasized that "it has nothing to do with him (Hsiao)".

Lin explained that Hsiao is a thoughtful person and has good relationships with his colleagues. He would even call a close female promotional executive his "wife". Being his manager, Lin said she would fall out with Hsiao if he had not treated her any better.

Her ex-boyfriend, however, told reporters that they broke up because he was "unable to give her any promises". He also asked reporters, "If you had a sister, I believe you would not give her hand to 'people like us'." He did not go on to explain if 'people like us' meant the members of the triad.

Though they have broken up, Lin and her ex-boyfriend still run the talent company together and are thus the bosses of Hsiao. They are currently still in close contact and have no plans to split up the business.

Hsiao was unavailable to comment about this rumoured relationship with the "elder sister" who is 13 years his senior.

Lin's father, Lin Guang Ning, also a veteran artiste, said, "According to my experience, if they are really together, I would have sensed it. Moreover if she is dating anyone, she will definitely inform me or her mother but we've not heard from her yet. I'm very open to whom she dates, but I will advise her to be open about it too."
